Nothing like racing in a cold rain with 22 other demented friends. Arrived early to make sure the Spin juniors got a good warm-up in. Their race was damp and foggy with a little spits of rain. When they called the masters to the line the rain started. It was quite an experience going downhill full trigger, elbow to elbow, in a flash flood rain. It was a well-mannered pack with no crashes however, several riders punctured. I have never really done well here and today was not much different. I was able to hang for 3 laps before I got spit out the back on the long climb up to the finish. I finished strong and even added a few extra laps. I figured what the heck, I was already soaked and I may as well get a longer workout in. I think I ended in 14th(ish) place. Interestingly, there were a few DNF's as well.
