So I ran the Chicago Marathon.....

....On 6 weeks of training...
....4 hrs of sleep....
....An Injured Ankle...
....A pair of Cycling Quads not really built for running...
....A couple cups of Gatorade, water, a Gel, and 1 Beer (Old Style, Mile 23.)

I trained hard enough to run it somewhere around 3:15 I had figured, but then things changed

I got some sort of food related sickness about a week before the Marathon, I thought it was fine, but then about 12 hrs before the run hell broke lose

I started feeling much better that morning, but I was a little worried about what it must had done to my body, surely nothing good

44,000 people start this thing, for those of you that couldnt guess this: its not as easy to move up as it is during a road race with 50 miles left....I figured this one out about mile 1 as I was sprinting up the sidewalks passing thousands of people running at a 12 minute mile pace, no so good.

If 44,000 people started, I must have been 43,499 back when we crossed the start line

by mile two I gave up on trying to run for any decent time and just focused on having fun, I might not have been the fastest guy, but I am sure I high-fived the most people.

I kept trying to get people to split a Cab with me back to the finish that was probably pretty mean in hindsight

At one point some homeless guy was following me, I am pretty sure he was waiting for me to collapse so he could take my shoes; I figured it was fair enough

I think I had about a dozen 'friends' call to say goodbye the night before, thanks guys.

During the second half of the marathon they were giving out half bananas, so the peels ended up all over the groud, which must have been some sort of a cruel joke.

well atleast I finished.
